Job Overview:
The Applications Development Group Manager has a hands-on role responsible for providing strategic direction including developing and refining/simplifying global risk applications related to loss forecasting, including internal and external stress test and allowance processes. This includes defining system integrations with other enterprise and first line systems and aligning with Citi’s data policies and frameworks.
Employee will be managing Tech team designed to deliver Loss Forecasting/Stress Testing including Regulatory commitments / expectations and all Citi technology standards. Will have experience leading complex Tech applications, deep understanding of Retail Risk, stature to communicate and influence senior partner stakeholders, business owner and technologists.
Responsibilities:
Lead Retail Risk Technology CCAR and CECL technical strategy, architecture and application design; envisioning business purpose, managing risks, process efficiency and user-interface design; Develops deep technical understanding of key systems, processes and interdependencies.
Design and leverage enterprise tools, processes and functionality to execute key Retail Risk processes and applications in a consistent enterprise framework ensuring effective business controls are established and maintained.
Identify areas for simplification, automation and technology synergies to reduce operational costs and risks.
Provides strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results.
Contributes to driving the workforce strategy, aiming to build fully compliant engineering teams while managing budgets and meeting delivery expectations.
Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant experience
Candidates should possess strong knowledge and interest across big data technologies and have a hands-on background in data engineering.
Experience of leading development of large and complex software for financial products.
Experience of strong stakeholder management across business and technology partners globally.
Experience of strong product and program management.
Solid understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
Working knowledge of industry practices and standards
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent experience
