Overview:

We are seeking a collaborative and adaptable Technical Project Manager with expertise in computer networking, software-defined technologies, and network security. This bilingual professional (English and Mandarin) will play a critical role as the communication bridge between our U.S.-based product team and China-based engineering teams. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a global, cross-functional environment and is committed to fostering collaboration and delivering results. This position will also involve managing projects, improving processes, and expanding responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and milestones for cross-functional, multi-regional teams.

  • Ensure smooth execution of projects by tracking progress, identifying roadblocks, and coordinating resolutions.

  • Document and communicate key project updates, ensuring all stakeholders remain informed and aligned.

  • Act as the primary translator in meetings, bridging language and cultural gaps between the U.S. product team and China engineering teams.

  • Translate complex technical and business documents into English or Mandarin as required.

  • Ensure clarity and mutual understanding in technical discussions, proposals, and decision-making.

  • Define and refine release planning processes to enhance efficiency and reduce time-to-market.

  • Standardize workflows and reporting structures to improve cross-border collaboration.

  • Evaluate and implement tools and methodologies to enhance communication and project management.

  • Use in-depth knowledge of computer networking, software-defined technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, SASE), and network security to guide project decisions.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure solutions align with product requirements and customer needs.

  • Troubleshoot and provide input on technical challenges, coordinating with both teams to ensure resolution.

  • Take on additional projects related to emerging technologies, market expansion, and team collaboration as the role grows.

  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving scalability and efficiency of global product development processes.

  • Assist in onboarding new team members and fostering knowledge transfer between teams.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).

  • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Mandarin, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • 5–7+ years of experience in technical project management, preferably in the computer networking or IT industry.

  • Proven experience working with software-defined technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, SASE) and network security solutions.

  • Knowledge in networking concepts, protocols, and tools (e.g., TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, cloud integration).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Team player

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Confluence).

  • Project Management: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications.

  • Networking: CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.

  • Cloud & Security: AWS or CC certifications.

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
