Responsibilities
The Position:
Oversees Global Facilities and Real Estate Management. Accountable for the day-to-day facilities operations and management of real estate strategy, leasing, design, project management, building operations and maintenance, budget management and leadership of staff and contractors. Develops short and long-term real estate and facilities plans in response to corporate directives.
Leadership
Leads a team of facilities technicians, lease administrator and space planner.
Develops staffing plans and strategies to deliver enhanced customer service levels and execute organizational and corporate goals and priorities.
Hires and coaches staff.
Responsible for negotiating and managing all facilities and real estate contracts.
Real Estate and Space Utilization
Oversees Global Real Estate and Leases (90+ sites in 50+ countries).
Ensures strategic plan for both existing and future growth globally.
Ensures all lease and cost projections, inclusive of construction, are planned from inception to completion to address business needs, corporate compliance, and governmental regulations.
Manages and oversee space utilization plans.
Facilities Operations
Oversees day-to-day facilities operations to deliver and maintain safe and effective working environments at all Panasonic Avionics' facilities.
Leverages technology, analytics and business intelligence to develop and execute strategic plans to drive continuous improvements across all Panasonic Avionics' sites.
Monitors maintenance, repair, and service levels for quality control and vendor contract compliance.
Oversees the asset management program for all facilities related equipment, systems, and resources.
Project Management
Oversees all real estate and facilities projects, including planning, detailed analytics, and reporting.
Collaborates with local and cross-regional teams including Finance, Procurement, Engineering, IT, etc.
Oversees communications with key department executives and key employees to develop and maintain effective partnerships to understand ongoing projects, business requirements and project timelines.
The salary wage range of $125,000 - $225,200 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
Strong leadership qualities with excellent written and verbal skills in effectively communicating with all levels, including laborers and contractors required. Ability to defuse and resolve conflicts.
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
Highly effective in project management and planning, including coordination of tasks, leading meetings, maintaining timelines and reporting.
Thorough familiarity with real estate and facilities financial processes, reporting and business controls.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time, including pressure situation and difficult to meet deadlines.
Working proficiency of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project. Knowledge of Visio, AutoCAD and other facilities management software is preferred.
8 years' experience facility management.
3 years Staff management experience
Bachelor's degree preferred. (Degree in a curriculum related to facility management is preferred).
Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or comparable professional designation preferred.
Lease and global facilities management experience desirable.
Technical training, education, or CFM certification beyond those required may be substituted for some experience.
Lifting, pushing/pulling furniture, carts, and boxes.
Stooping, bending, reaching, and climbing ladders.
Must be able to respond to after-hour issues on-site.
Ability to travel domestically up to 15% and internationally on occasion.

Paid time off: Exempt Salaried employees receive flexible paid time off. This means that there is no fixed number, range, or limit to the amount of Personal and Vacation Days that may be taken for exempt employees. Non-exempt hourly employees accrue 14 vacation days per year + 7 sick days + 3 personal days. Accrual rate increases with tenure. All employees receive 11 company paid holidays per year. We also close our offices at the corporate level in the U.S. between Christmas and New Year. For operational positions that are expected to work on holidays, we provide additional compensation for hours worked.
