Job Description

As a Sr. Graphic Developer for the Hardgoods helmet category, you'll use your exceptional skills and knowledge of products and processes to bring innovative graphic designs to completion. Your focus will be to develop quality, on-time, cost-effective products that are an accurate reflection of the brands in the Revelyst – Adventure Sports position as an industry leader.

Review graphic samples, for color, quality, cost, and execution and collaborate with factories to deliver accurate and cost correct products. Maintain internal systems to reflect latest graphic information, work closely with designers and merchandisers to deliver the best products possible.

This position reports to the Lead Development Engineer and allows you the flexibility to work from a hybrid schedule from your home and out of our Irvine, CA office.

As the Sr Graphic Developer, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Strive to create the most innovative and market leading products possible. Products will be evaluated for success based on: Innovation, function, fit, comfort, relevance to brand identity, technology utilization, quality, aesthetics, timely completion, manufacturability and realized margins.

  • Prepare graphic samples and present project information to the Design and Merchandising teams for review and decision making ahead of milestone meetings.

  • Build and maintain tracking documents for colors, materials, textures, deviations, costing, MOQ’s and ensure a color palette consistency in between vendors.

  • Ensure designers provide detailed technical packages to the vendor development team, a critical step to the first sample being correct. Verify graphic details with graphic tech packs and PLM details.

  • Working with Design and the vendor, create and evaluate functional prototypes to verify design intent.

  • Enter costing information into PLM and maintain graphic costing updates.

  • Manage project samples and schedule to meet project deliverables and deadlines.

  • Visit vendor’s manufacturing facilities to sample and commercialize intended product design. Study vendor’s development techniques, production processes and technological capabilities to enhance professional knowledge, further vendor relationship and assist in the innovation of product design/development.

  • Work closely with the vendors to oversee the execution of the samples (screen printing, painting, UV coating, water decals, hydro-films and/or other treatment required).

  • Communicate internally and with international factories and vendors; both verbally and in writing critical and pertinent information that is needed in the graphic development process.

  • Review and prioritize performance and style to properly incorporate them into products. Visualize performance and styling goals and create solutions to achieve them.

  • Ensure all golden samples are stored and are readily available for reference.

  • Required travel to factories, to oversee design development for one or more categories.

You have:

  • 3-5 years of equivalent work experience.

  • 5-7 years minimum consumer product development.

  • An enthusiastic and positive attitude with a passion towards MX, MTB and Action Sports. Must be very creative, forward thinking.

  • Knowledge of plastics, textiles, painting, colors, graphic process, and embellishment techniques

  • Knowledge of Adobe illustrator and excel.

Pay Range:

$80,700.00 - $126,300.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
