Job Description

This position is responsible for managing and administering all leaves of absence for the company (including FMLA, CFRA, ADA-related, etc.), as well as all requests for disability accommodation in compliance with legal requirements. This position works closely with employees to understand their situations and provide effective counsel on the leave and/or accommodation options available for the employee. The role partners with the HR team and management to determine reasonable accommodations in response to employee requests. The role is a subject matter expert on federal, state, and local leave requirements and company leave policies and practices, and meticulously tracks all leaves and accommodations.

PR: $45 - $50

Skills and Requirements

Education/Experience:

- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required

- 3-5 years of relevant experience administering leaves of absence and accommodations. (An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for this role.)

 Responsibilities and Duties

 Responsible for managing the entire process of workplace disability accommodation, including but not limited to: initial intake with employee, assistance with accommodation-related forms, conducting the interactive process with employees to determine whether they can effectively perform their essential job functions with or without accommodation, partnering with employees to determine reasonable accommodations, and implementing reasonable accommodations.

 Responsible for managing all leaves of absence including but not limited to: intake of requests, determining eligibility, review of all forms for completeness, interacting with employees to follow up and answer questions, designation of leave, and administering the internal leave process, including return to work.

 Maintain complete and accurate records of leaves and accommodations in accordance with legal requirements and internal processes.

 Provide support to departments and employees by ensuring consistent application of leave and disability- related federal, state and local laws.

 Effectively correspond with team members regarding accommodation and leave decisions

 Communicate and respond to employee questions or concerns during the accommodation and leave process.

 Provide support to the HR team by providing regular updates on employee leaves and accommodations, as needed.

 Stay up to date on all federal, state, and local requirements for leaves of absence and disability accommodations; provide education to HR and management as needed.

 Draft and/or recommend revisions to company leave and accommodation policies to support compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

 Required Skills:

- Subject matter expertise in disability accommodations and leaves of absence

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS (ADP) and Zendesk null
