Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Irvine, California

Description We are seeking a skilled Sr. Accountant to join our team located in Irvine, California. In this role, you will be tasked with an array of responsibilities that involve preparing and analyzing financial reports, maintaining accurate records, and implementing automated accounting applications. The industry is highly dynamic, requiring a proactive approach and a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and records by collecting and summarizing account information.

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of quarterly consolidated financial statements and reports.

• Regularly prepare financial budgets and forecast updates, including modeling and supporting schedules.

• Conduct Balance Sheet account reconciliations, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents or schedules.

• Enhance productivity by developing automated accounting applications.

• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.

• Meet all financial reporting deadlines accurately and timely.

• Document policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.

• Engage in department and organization special projects as assigned.

• Maintain confidentiality of all financial information.

• Understand and handle Intercompany transactions. Requirements • Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role in the accounting field

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, financial analysis, and reporting

• Expertise in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries, and the ability to handle these efficiently

• Experience with Month End Close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software is essential

• Ability to analyze and present Profit and Loss statements

• Experience in financial consolidations, including inter-company and foreign currency transactions

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• detail oriented certification such as CPA, CMA, or similar will be an advantage

• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team, as well as independently when required.
