Job Description

A employer in the insurance industry (property & casualty) is looking for a Service-Oriented Architecture Developer to join the team and sit fully remote. The candidate will work on designing, implementing, and maintaining a scalable, reliable, and efficient service-oriented architecture for underwriting solutions. The architecture focuses on enabling seamless integration, event-driven design, and robust state management while supporting scalability and resilience. This person will Implement back-end microservices using Azure technologies, including Azure Service Bus for event-driven communication. They will integrate and manage Azure API Management for secure and efficient API routing.

Skills and Requirements

• 5-7 years of relevant experience within event-driven architectures and service-oriented design.

• Strong knowledge of microservices, state management, and distributed systems.

• Experience working in the insurance industry, P&C (property & casualty is ideal)

• Strong experience using .Net framework, and C# to program.

• Experience with Event Driven Architecture using Azure Service Bus or similar tool.

Strong Database experience using Cosmos DB or similar tool, or relational database experience such as SQL. - Experience using Okta or any identity management platform

• Experience using CQRS and event sourcing for optimized data operations and fault tolerance.

• Understands how to manage and distribute transactions to ensure consistency in long-running processes using Saga patterns.

• IAC using Pulumi

• Azure DevOps experience
