Job Description:

Senior Project Manager – Alternate Project Delivery (Rail, Transit, Road/Highway) - Irvine, California

Opportunity :

Our Parsons Irvine, California office is now hiring for an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee alternate project delivery in our transportation infrastructure division, inclusive of rail, transit, and road and highway.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager who will provide direction and management for medium- large sized alternate delivery projects in Rail, Transit, and Road & Highway projects in Southern California to ensures on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives. To be successful in this role, you will plan and define program goals and methods to accomplish them; you will also develop an in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. Typical projects for this role will range up to $30 million or more in total installed cost. This work will primarily support Caltrans, LA Metro in Southern California and other ancillary agencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Acts as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the program execution.

• Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors and Markets and secures additional work with client

• Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.

• Participates in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.

• Oversees establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.

• Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the project, and monitors the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria

• Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project.

• Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates. Field responsibilities may include labor relations, local procurement and payroll operations

• Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.

• Works with the key project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.

REQUIREMENTS:

4 year degree in Civil Engineering or related technical/business field

15 years or more of related work experience

Minimum 5 years of alternate project delivery experience (DB, PDB, P3)

CA PE is required .

Extensive experience with Caltrans, local Cities, or Agencies in Highway and Roadway transportation projects, and LA Metro is essential.

Salary Range:

$126,600.00 - $253,300.00
