Jacobs Rail CAD Design Technician in Irvine, California

As a vital member of our Irvine rail team, you’ll have the opportunity to support various large-scale design-build and design-bid-build rail projects locally and across the country. You will be responsible for providing support on track design components such as: horizontal and vertical track alignments, special trackwork, rail calculations, sketches, quantities, and technical comparisons.

This position is non-exempt and paid hourly.

  • 1-2 years experience working in rail design

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

  • Experience working in MicroStation/Inroads and OpenRail

  • Strong analytical, conceptual, organization, communication, and time management skills

  • A strong interest in learning rail engineering

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • Professional expertise with AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • 3D modeling Experience

  • Experience on both Freight and Commuter Rail project
