Edwards is seeking an experienced Manager, IT Vendor Management to support the Global IT Operations & Strategy team, which is dedicated to advancing our strategic vendor relationships and optimizing for value, effectiveness, and impact. Leverage your superior business skills, extensive information technology experience, and passion to make it happen in the dynamic world of IT Vendor Management. This position is based onsite at our expansive and amenity-laden global headquarters campus in Irvine, CA.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Contribute to Global IT and Business Partners’ success by leading, managing, and supporting key activities with technology and service suppliers: Discovery, initial contact, evaluations, negotiations, renewals, escalations, and innovations.

  • Partner with IT Business Management, Indirect Sourcing (Procurement), Legal, and other Shared Services teams to exceed the expectations of our internal customers and external suppliers.

  • Consult with Global IT and business internal customers on technology selection & acquisition, enterprise licensing, vendor engagement models, RFx development and processes, IT products/services, build vs. buy, and requirements development.

  • Review (and contribute to) all types of vendor-related documents, including MSAs, SOWs, licensing and SaaS agreements, performance data, and presentations.

  • Drive successful vendor-related outcomes (services, cost, terms, relationships, innovation).

  • Coordinate and facilitate vendor meetings, quarterly business reviews, presentations, onsite and offsite visits.

  • Resolve vendor-related issues with requirements, performance, invoices, agreements, deliverables, and SLAs.

  • Develop procedures, templates, tools, and presentations to support vendor management strategy and serve as a vendor engagement SME.

  • Manage strategic IT vendor evaluations and performance report-outs.

  • Collaborate on a multitude of vendor negotiations for services, SaaS, software, and more.

  • Formulate and implement vendor corrective action plans, while maintaining excellent relationships.

  • Travel up to 10%.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, MIS, or Business Technology.

  • A minimum of 8 years in IT vendor management and/or complex technology sourcing (with a focus on software, professional & technical services, and SaaS).

  • IT Vendor relationship management experience with industry-leading firms.

What else we look for:

  • Advanced business-related degree (e.g. MBA).

  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise software licensing models.

  • Strong presentation skills, including creating PowerPoint decks and leading meetings with vendors and senior/exec technical management.

  • Presenting to executive levels to provide independent recommendations.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Diplomacy, Professionalism, and Discretion.

  • Personal passion for both the business and technical sides of working with information technology suppliers, and for continuous learning.

  • Ability to work across all levels of various business units of an organization with diverse team members.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, excellent analytical ability, able make data-driven decisions.

  • Thrive in a highly dynamic and high-pressure environment, while working with all levels of management.

  • Highly adept multitasker with endless patience.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (primarily Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $115,000 to $163,000 (highly experienced).
