Job Title: Director of Engineering

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of HVAC building systems

  • Ensure that products & designs meet customer requirements and industry standards

  • Manage the professional development of the engineering team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and field teams, to ensure successful projects

  • Identify and mitigate potential product and project risks

  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards

  • Lead the development of new technologies and product enhancements

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and vendors to identify new opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends and developments.

Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

  • California Licensed PE

  • 10+ years of experience in the HVAC industry with an emphasis on retrofits

  • Proven track record of successful projects and team management

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Expertise in HVAC building systems, including design, development, and testing

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Compensation Range: $150,000 - $180,000 per year
