We are currently seeking a Design Engineer II to join our facility located in Irvine, CA. This position will be responsible for design, modeling, estimation-related work, and support of manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate would thrive in a fast-paced environment where extreme attention to detail is required and expected.
Essential Functions:
Read and interpret customer blueprints and specifications
Design forging configurations and tooling
Run simulations to optimize the forging shapes & forging conditions
Work with die manufactures to specify and manufacture tooling
Manufacturing operations support
Communicate and provide information/documents to other departments
Investigate and analyze data to drive accurate root cause and corrective action efforts
Perform any assigned special R&D projects
Perform inspection of forgings and tooling
Technical resource and point of contact for design related challenges/recommendations
Support an environment of mutual trust, respect, safety, and high ethical standards
