This role reports to the Senior Human Resources Manager and will allow you to leverage your expertise in employee and labor relations, reporting, compliance matters and in supporting the needs of the business. This is a hybrid position.

A Day In The Life

  • Responsible for interpreting and ensuring compliance with all policies and state/federal employment laws.

  • Highly engaged business partner on employee and labor relations issues.

  • Well-versed in conducting thorough internal investigations.

  • Conduct presentations that include but are not limited to new employee orientation, communication meetings, and other employee training classes.

  • Responsible for HR reporting in SuccessFactors. Prepares affirmative Action Plan and files all EEOC – related reports on a timely basis, and maintains adequate documentation, audit trail, and compliance with the record retention regulations.

  • Administer leaves of absences including FMLA.

  • Enter new hires, terminations, leave of absence, etc. in SuccessFactors, as needed.

  • Lead employee engagement initiatives.

  • Support managers with timekeeping and attendance programs to ensure payroll accuracy.

  • Maintains the company policy manual and enforces, educates when necessary.

  • Provides sound advice and counsel to management on employee relations matters; ensure employees and managers receive the appropriate counseling, mentorship and support on employee relations issues.

  • Work with other HR business partners, HR Centers of Excellence (CoE) and other functional partners (Legal, Finance, IT, etc.) to deliver HR support/services to the business and employees.

  • Support site leadership throughout all aspects of contract, including the grievance process; assist in preparing and conducting grievance meetings at appropriate level.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Minimum 5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing role.

  • Proven ability to maintain integrity in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

  • Strong computer experience required, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Must have good time management skills and be able to prioritize duties.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, and also sensitive where information must be shared on a ‘need to know” basis.

  • PHR or SPHR certification a plus.

  • SuccessFactors and or ADP experience a plus.

  • Experience in a union environment a plus.
