WTW Operations Technician, GB Central Operations in Ipswich, United Kingdom

An exciting and varied opportunity in the Central Operations team to provide support across several functions. The team is responsible for providing technical advice and support to the Great Britain Corporate Risk & Broking (GB CRB) Lines of Business on matters of best practice, quality assurance and digital transformation, both from within WTW and aligning to projects from the wider insurance market.

In this role, you will be responsible for helping to shape and deliver the value proposition of these responsibilities in supporting GB CRB, as well as become a key conduit for the Business. You will develop and apply your knowledge of WTW best practice standards and processes, consider opportunities for efficiency and simplification and support the delivery of key projects.

Central Operations are responsible for a number of key market modernisation initiatives, such as PPL Next Gen and MRC v3.0 within WTW’s Broking Platform and your responsibilities will include supporting the execution and adoption of these. Ultimately, contributing to our strategic direction of digitisation, ensuring WTW is fit for the future and can cease the further opportunities this provides.

The Role

  • Contribute to the successful execution and adoption of London Market modernisation initiatives impacting WTW GB CRB

  • Become a central owner for WTW’s usage of the PPL platform, providing on-going governance and oversight, user training and support, Acting as a point of escalation and helping to maintain the market and vendor relationships.

  • Production, distribution, and analysis of high-quality Management Information (MI) and using the themes identified to inform process improvements

  • Completion of Business Quality reviews measuring performance against our Client Excellence model and best practice standards

  • Provide innovative feedback on current Central Operations processes and develop enhancements to current processes, where opportunities are identified

  • Develop and maintain the necessary knowledge and working relationships to provide technical support to the business and other central functions

  • Undertake and contribute to ad-hoc Central Operations projects and tasks, supporting management when required from time to time

The Requirements

  • Adaptable, able to engage across a variety of tasks/projects in an evolving environment

  • Quick learner, with the ability to prioritise multiple requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships

  • Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy

  • Problem-solving ability, able to adapt and use initiative to follow tasks through to completion

  • Good teamwork skills but with the confidence to work autonomously, using own initiative to propose and progress solutions

  • Insurance knowledge preferable but not essential
