Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Iowa City, Iowa
Now Hiring Industrial Maintenance Electricians (1st and 3rd shift)
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment, machinery, and systems.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Respond to emergency breakdowns, performing necessary repairs to minimize production downtime.
Install new machinery, equipment, or systems as needed.
Document maintenance and repair work, including completed tasks and part inventory.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED (technical certifications or associate degree preferred).
3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Proficiency in using maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Welding, machining, or fabrication skills.
Forklift and other industrial equipment certifications.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
