The Opportunity:

As a Power Platform Developer at Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC), you will work with SRF-JRMC business users to gather requirements and build business application solutions using the U.S. Navy’s Flank Speed M365 Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Query, and Power BI). You will integrate and automate solutions that work with other apps across the M365 platform, such as SharePoint Online, Planner, Excel, and Teams. You will support our production business applications for users across the command’s AOR in Japan and Singapore, traveling occasionally when onsite support is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly impact the organizational visibility and transparency of our customer by engineering high-quality business solutions and reports for senior leadership.

  • Collaboratively identify source datasets and refine them appropriately for use in command-level applications.

  • Coordinate with diverse teams to promote the best fit-for-use apps and solution architectures.

  • Deliver regular project status reports to management that capture the actions, progress, and challenges for ongoing projects.

  • Support/interface with the customer via the telephone, video conferencing, email, chat, and applicable online presence.

  • Work independently with general supervision applying your strong analytical and reasoning abilities to design reliable solutions with the least complexity required.

  • SRF-JRMC work may be in an industrial environment outdoors or indoors, in multiple industrial trade shops, and/or in a field office or CACI office environment.

  • Work is at the customer site, embedded in the Shipyard industrial environment, to ensure customer needs are being met.

  • Candidate must live in the commuting area and/or be willing to relocate to Yokosuka, Japan.

  • Physical Demands: Normal demands associated with a Shipyard office environment, including ability to work on a computer for long periods. Work is in an active industrial environment that may require walking long distances carrying backpack filled with work materials (and transporting materials, supplies as needed), climbing ladders, and accessing confined spaces. Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.)

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must hold at least a DoD Interim Secret security clearance resulting in final DoD Secret security clearance.

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software development with at least 1 year building solutions on the M365 Power Platform.

  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.

  • Experience in the preparation, selection, organization, and presentation of information in a concise and coherent manner.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis, visualization, and presentation tools – especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrate cross-cultural competence, high emotional intelligence, and strong interpersonal skills to work with Foreign Nationals and culturally diverse populations.

  • Communicate with customers at all levels of the organization in a professional, effective manner.

  • Ability to perform successfully independently and as a team member in a demanding work environment.

Desired:

  • Master’s degree.

  • 2+ years building solutions with M365 Power Platform development.

  • Previous military service or previous work experience at a Naval Shipyard.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$60,400 - $123,800
