Phoenix Industrial Services Steel Cutter in Inkster, Michigan
Phoenix Industrial Services is a staffing agency located in Monroe. We are hiring for a Steel Cutter position in Inkster, MI. Our client is a premier manufacturer of customized shipping and handling products and specializes in providing complex solutions to the automotive industry.
This is a full-time, temporary to permanent position with openings on the 1st Shift (7am-3:30pm). Benefits include health insurance and PTO. Starting pay is $17.00/HR. Candidates must be willing to work a split shift.
What you will be doing:
This position requires you to be able to read blueprints, a tap measure, and use specific tools.
You will be taking steel and metal and cutting it down to the size specifications.
We are looking for someone that is able to use but is not limited to
- Drill press
- Shears
- Band saw
- Tape measure
The Steel Cutter position is responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Operating machinery and equipment such as saws, brakes, sheers and drill presses
- Recognizing typical problems in parts and equipment when they occur
- Performing tool changeover and adjustments
