Boehringer Ingelheim Senior System Engineer - Technical Project Lead in Ingelheim, Germany

This position can be filled in Ingelheim or Biberach.

This position is part time eligible with 80 %.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • In your new role, you will lead medium to large digital projects within Data Products and Portfolio team, plan and successfully execute them, prepare skill set profiles, and facilitate onboarding of new team members.

  • You will also forge and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders in IT and Business, ensuring strong, collaborative relationships.

  • Moreover, you will collaborate with stakeholders in IT and business to agree on scope, time, budget, and priorities.

  • You will ensure successful delivery of digital projects within agreed scope, budget and time.

  • In addition, you will continuously monitor and adapt project and budget plans, as well as perform risk assessments.

  • You will also ensure change management through approval by responsible Steering Committees.

  • Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with IT and Business community to develop a profound understanding of our processes and drive strategic data initiatives in Operations domain.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in IT, or a bachelor's degree with several years of extensive relevant work experience

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering cross-functional projects using Agile methodology; Experience working on BI Dataland platform and experience with GxP validation processes for system is a bonus

  • Basic understanding of AWS tech stack like S3, EC2, Glue, Lambda, RDS, Athena, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, Redshift and EventBridge

  • Basic understanding of pharmaceutical processes and associated data flows as well as of data streaming, knowledge graphs, GenAI, and other cutting-edge technologies in data analysis

  • Basic understanding of traditional data warehouses, data pipelines using ETL processes, and visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI

  • Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of establishing and nurturing business relationships as well as the ability to confidently navigate difficult situations, resolve conflicts, and build consensus

  • Fluent in English, written and spoken. Additional language skills in German or Spanish are a bonus
