We are seeking a talented and experienced Big Data Engineer with expertise in AWS cloud technologies.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable big data solutions on the AWS cloud platform, utilizing services such as Amazon EMR, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena, and Amazon S3.
Implement data ingestion, storage, processing, and analysis pipelines to support business requirements and data-driven decision-making.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Optimize performance and reliability of big data systems through monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
Implement security best practices and data governance policies to ensure data privacy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in AWS cloud technologies and big data tools to continuously improve our infrastructure and processes.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a Big Data Engineer, with a focus on cloud-based solutions.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, particularly in building and managing data infrastructure.
Solid understanding of big data technologies and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
Experience with data warehousing and relational database systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
