Job Title: Technician

Job Description

This individual will be working inside around both new construction and finishing projects. Expect to get dirty on the job site. The client engages in design, project management, and new building work. Individuals should come in with the expectation that they will do a variety of tasks. Daily responsibilities include clean up of the job site as well as set up, framing, doors, hardware, drywall, metal studs, flooring, cabinetry work, trim work, counter tops, and more. Starting in a carpentry role, there is room for advancement into foreman, superintendent, and project management roles. This person will use hand tools and impact/drills daily, and will also help with cleaning up if needed.

Responsibilities

• Daily clean up of the job site

• Set up, framing, doors, hardware, drywall, metal studs, flooring, cabinetry work, trim work, counter tops

• Use hand tools and impact/drills each day

• Assist with project management and new building work

• Work on both new construction and finishing projects

Essential Skills

• Carpentry

• Commercial construction experience (5-10 years)

• Framing

• Hardware and doors installation

• Drywall and finish drywall

• Metal studs

• Acoustical ceilings

• Reading blueprints

• Leadership experience, running crews of 2-3

• Owning hand tools and drill/impacts

Work Environment

You will work primarily inside on finishing projects for commercial construction sites such as college campuses, K-12 schools, food services, city services buildings, office buildings, banks, automotive and entertainment buildings. The work environment is safety and detail-oriented with an expectation of thorough cleanliness by the end of each day. Absolutely no smoking is allowed on the job site. Typical work hours are from early morning to 3:30 PM with some overtime throughout the months.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00
