About this role:

The Technical Trainer will be responsible for instruction within the Residential HVAC Technical Training Center as well as content development in support of the HVAC Technical Training Center curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruction of courses for dealer and distributor customers, specific to Residential HVAC equipment, Technical HVAC concepts, service and installation best practices.

  • Content creation in support of curriculum including presentations and hands-on activities

  • Motivate and partner cross functionally to achieve business goals.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts in creation and delivery of accurate, current and relevant content.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma

  • 5 + years of experience in training and/or HVAC

Preferable Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Residential HVAC equipment and functions.

  • Knowledge of both classroom and virtual content delivery methods and development requirements.

  • Knowledge of hands-on training delivery methods and development requirements.

  • Experience coordinating product-related trainings, including content specific to new features, installation, service, and simulating troubleshooting activities in a hands-on environment.

  • Experience developing technical HVAC training courses for various levels (beginners, intermediate and advanced)

  • Ability to listen to variety of end-user requirements, identify trends in feedback, and outline plan to address user needs.

  • Ability to manage relationships with variety of subject matter experts to create partnerships in content development.

  • Ability to review and evaluate content and delivery from the learner perspective to determine needed improvements.

  • Experience delivering classroom and hands-on training.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Excellent customer service skills with a high attention to detail

  • Ability to Prioritize workload based on department requirements and customer needs.

  • Expertise in managing multiple projects with competing priorities.

  • Aptitude to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Current knowledge of training and development best-practices as well as adult learning principles

  • Knowledge of self-paced online training delivery methods and development requirements a plus, but not required.

  • Previous instructional design experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
