Description

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to assist our client through the end of the year. This role involves transactional accounting and financial analysis, with a focus on month-end close duties, journal entries, and reconciliations. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity, offering the flexibility to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake transactional accounting tasks

• Perform month-end close duties to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded

• Conduct reconciliations of accounts to maintain financial accuracy

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling

• Work with Oracle PeopleSoft for various accounting functions

• Participate in budgeting processes to assist in financial planning

• Address customer inquiries effectively and professionally

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on account status

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently.

Requirements • Position requires at least 1 year of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is a must.

• Expertise in Bank Reconciliations is essential.

• Experience with General Ledger management is required.

• Ability to prepare and maintain Journal Entries is necessary.

• Experience with Month End Close processes is required.

• Proficiency in Oracle and Oracle PeopleSoft is a must.

• Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel is necessary.

• Experience with Budgeting is required.

• Proficiency in PeopleSoft is necessary.
