Production Line Maintenance Technician

Westside Indianapolis location

Labcorp is looking for a 3rd shift Production Line Maintenance Technician to maintain our Kit Production areas. The Kit Production area assembles customized kits for laboratory testing done related to clinical trials which assists in getting lifesaving medications to market. What will you be doing

The primary focus of this work is to Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated systems and facilities equipment. Train and support new technicians. Use continuous improvement methodologies and preventative measures to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. Maintains and follows required standard operating procedures (SOP) and all safety requirements. Spare parts inventory control responsibilities, duties include but not limited to;

  • Ensures equipment, machinery, tools, and other items used by technicians are operated properly.

  • Understands how to handle machines properly during an emergency, which includes power outages, machine failure, workplace injuries, etc

  • Performs system startups and operational checkouts on systems including configurations, wiring, calibration, grounding, and power testing.

  • Performs preventative maintenance and routine inspections.

  • Maintain inventory of spare parts for critical production equipment.

  • 3D printing of replacement parts.

  • Enters and completes works orders, finding assets/schedules in asset management system

  • On call support as needed.

  • Create/improve processes for repairing existing equipment/components.

  • Complies with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

What do we look for?

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Secondary education above high school in related field preferred but not required.

  • Technical training in {Automated manufacturing, Pneumatic systems, CMMS} preferred.

  • Strong methodology in troubleshooting techniques

  • Demonstrated mechanical and/or electrical aptitude

  • Knowledge of expediting components and services needed to maintain a 24-hour operation

  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, experience with managing work hours, maintained required documentation

  • Thermal transfer printing experience preferred

  • 1+ years of prior experience working in a manufacturing maintaining production lines in a 24-hour operation is highly preferred.

  • Good Organizational skills
