Xylem Process Engineer in Indianapolis, Indiana

We are currently for a Process for our facility in Indianapolis, IN. The Process Engineer manages large scale internal projects scoped to increase productivity and efficiency by means of equipment, tooling, and automation. Process management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. The Process Engineer II will work with local plant management to support ongoing technical issues with production and equipment as well as collaborate with Xylem quality assurance team to provide corrective action for internal and external customers.

  • Direct and contribute to overall health & execution of a project scope, deliverables, timeline, and budget.

  • Responsible for technical and financial aspects of projects.

  • Regularly reports projects and status to project stakeholders.

  • Leading/facilitating/conducting team meetings for Project execution.

  • Configure engineering solutions in support of day-to-day plant production.

  • Generate improvements and solutions to impact KPI(s) for continuous improvement.

  • Assist local management and maintenance troubleshooting equipment.

  • General product knowledge and application of water chemistry, pretreatment, and wastewater equipment.

  • Collaborate with Engineering Team for enterprise solutions to eliminate bottlenecks and hazards.

  • May assist in technical review of systems for productivity and safety.

  • Understand execution strategy and planning.

Organization Impact:

  • Support the monitoring of schedule attainment.

  • Assist in meeting project/customer requirements and keeping track of project/customer requirements.

  • Margin attainment; customer satisfaction for internal and external customers

  • Identify continuous improvement activities via lean methodologies.

Position Requirements

FORMAL EDUCATION:

  • BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-10 years’ experience in Engineering, Project Management

  • Able to identify and solution problems with business partners.

  • Develop general arrangement, process flow, design drawings (such as layouts), P&IDs, and standard operating procedures.

  • Generate project proposals and coordinate interdisciplinary teams to execute project scope

  • Candid and timely communication

  • PLC programming and troubleshooting

  • Detail oriented

  • Understanding of ERP systems

  • Advanced understanding of MS Office (project, word, excel)

  • Basic business acumen

  • Good organizational skills

  • Drive project financial performance (forecasting, revenue, margin)

  • PowerBI, Microsoft Apps, CAD, VISIO, SAP

  • Able to executive tasks autonomously; limited guidance required for complex tasks

Travel- 30%

Salary range:

$71,000.00 - $113,500.00
