Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for filling prescription items, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, and ensuring accuracy and productivity standards are met. You will label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels, and participate in periodic inventory tasks such as checking in drugs and supplies, stocking shelves, and removing out-of-date items from inventory. Additionally, you will prepare medications, which may include non-sterile compounding, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy.

• Package medications for dispensing and delivery, ensuring accuracy and productivity standards.

• Label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.

• Participate in periodic inventory of the pharmacy.

• Check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove out-of-date items from inventory.

• Prepare medications including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, which may include non-sterile compounding.

• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Skills

• Pharmacy Technician certification

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with non-sterile compounding

This position offers two different shifts: one role for 8AM-5PM and two roles for 1PM-10PM. Candidates must be able to work weekends. The work environment involves handling medications, requires attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
