Pastry Chef

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-volume bakery or catering facility.

  • Experience with yeast raised doughs, including pretzels, required.

  • Must be self-motivated. Will be responsible for ordering, inventory, prep sheets, and menu development.

Responsibilities:

  • Creativity with cake decorating, themed sugar cookies, displays, etc.

  • Preparing dough and mixing batters.

  • Creating new recipes or following existing ones.

  • Receiving special orders from customers.

  • Adhering to food quality and workplace safety protocols.

  • Ensuring timely completion of baked products.

  • Designing, executing, and improving recipes.

  • Performing quality checks on ingredients and finished products.

  • Using icing, glazes, fillings, and decorations to enhance item presentation.

  • Baking various desserts, pastries, breads, and cakes using recipes and creativity.

  • Developing and updating menus and recipes to suit customer preferences and business needs.

  • Ordering, stocking, and managing baking ingredients and supplies.

  • Decorating and presenting baked goods using icings, toppings, and techniques.

  • Collaborating and communicating with other chefs and kitchen staff.

  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace and following food safety standards.

    Ability to lift at least 25lbs
