Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform maintenance work on various systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and electrical issues. This role requires a versatile professional skilled in multiple areas to ensure our machinery operates efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance every Wednesday during a 4-hour shutdown period.

  • Rebuild and replace machinery and equipment such as motors.

  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems including fluid leaks, hose replacements, and cylinder rebuilds.

  • Utilize hydraulic fluid power knowledge for machine maintenance.

  • Conduct mechanical troubleshooting, heavy overhaul, equipment movement, and replacement of components like saw blades, servo motors, pumps, valves, hoists, hooks, pulleys, and wheels on cranes.

  • Execute electrical troubleshooting tasks including schematic reading, handling 480V and 24dc systems, sensor wiring, equipment installation, and addressing electrical faults and shortages.

  • Perform fabrication tasks such as MIG welding, manual lathe, and manual mill operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • PLC troubleshooting (ladder logic, laptop hook up, diagnostic experience)

  • Experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley 500 - 5000 systems

Work Environment

The position involves working in a non-climate controlled environment with high temperatures due to the melting of raw materials at over 800 degrees. The hours are as follows: 1st shift from 7 AM - 3 PM, with potential overtime requiring 8+ hours a day and 6 days a week, typically amounting to 55-60 hours per week until production demands stabilize.
