Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are currently seeking skilled CNC Machinists who specialize in milling, turning, and grinding. Our facility works with various materials including Aluminum, Titanium, and Inconel, with capabilities up to 100 inches for milling and 78 inches for turning. Our site houses over 100 CNC machines including Okuma, DMG, OKK, and Toshiba.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC production equipment to produce quality parts

  • Complete all departmental paperwork in detail

  • Perform part setup, run cycles, and inspect parts

  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements (GD&T)

  • Analyze numerical control programs and perform minimal changes

  • Select proper work holdings and tooling

  • Perform routine inspections on in-process parts using inspection equipment

  • Utilize calipers, dial bore gages, indicators, micrometers, height and radius gages, go/no-go gages, refractometer, comparator as required

  • Apply basic math skills

  • Run multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously

  • Meet production and quality standards with zero tolerance for scrap and rework

  • Perform preventative and regular maintenance on machines, equipment, and tools

  • Troubleshoot machine problems during processes

  • Understand machining speeds and feeds

  • Work with lathes, mills, and grinders

  • Work under minimal supervision

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of CNC mill/lathe experience

  • Blueprint reading

  • Basic inspection experience

  • Proficiency in shop math

Work Environment

This is a traditional machine shop and assembly operation with over 100 CNC machines. The facility is climate-controlled and well-lit, with mandatory overtime on Saturdays. We offer two shifts: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday) 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday) 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM. The assembly area resembles a job shop and is moderately organized.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
