Job Title: Utilities Field Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Field Technicians for a client in the power/utilities industry.

Responsibilities

• Collect data on power poles, including attachment heights and power communication details.

• Utilize software (Katapult) to gather pole heights, midspan information, and other relevant data.

• Travel daily within the state of Indiana.

• Complete data collection tasks safely, accurately, and promptly.

• Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and the public in a courteous manner.

• Upload and download collected data using computer systems as trained.

• Operate and maintain company equipment safely and efficiently.

• Follow company and departmental safety rules and procedures.

• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Essential Skills

• High School diploma or GED.

• Minimum 1 year of field experience supporting any utility-based program.

• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new computer software efficiently.

• Comfortable working in the field.

• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, management, and customers.

• Desire to work in a team-based environment and can work cohesively with team members on a variety of projects and tasks.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

Work Environment

You will be working out in the field around Indianapolis five days a week. The work hours are during the first shift, Monday to Friday, with flexible times but typically from 8 AM to 5 PM.
