Robert Half Customer Experience Specialist in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description We are offering a role in the wholesale distribution industry located in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is a Customer Experience Specialist which involves engaging with customers and handling their inquiries, processing orders, and managing complaints. The role is contract-based and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to and learn from our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer inquiries promptly and effectively

• Process and input all customer orders

• Monitor product availability through various reports

• Generate all necessary paperwork and information for customer orders

• Coordinate special shipping requests with the operations department

• Track orders and notify customers of any activity concerning their order

• Handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions within time limits

• Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication

• Act as the liaison between the warehouse, transportation, and the customer

• Oversee all paperwork associated with orders and maintain corresponding files

• Use MS Word and Microsoft Excel for various tasks

• Exhibit strong customer service skills in all interactions. Requirements • Proven experience in a Customer Service role within the Wholesale Distribution industry

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word and Microsoft Excel

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly under pressure

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences

• Flexibility to work in different shifts or extended hours if required

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in a relevant discipline will be appreciated
