Job Title: Accounting Manager

Job Description

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounting Manager with Construction Industry experience in Indianapolis, IN. This role involves direct reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager and managing two direct reports: an AR Specialist and an AP Specialist. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing accounts payable and receivable tasks alongside their team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the A/R entry and processing function

  • Manage release of Sub-Contractor payments

  • Post Cash Receipts

  • Prepare monthly billings

  • Maintain Billing Analysis Data & Reporting

  • Set up and maintain job contracts and subcontracts in the accounting system

  • Assist with end of year Financial Audit

  • Support Special Projects and Reporting Requests

  • Assist in developing workflow process improvements

  • Perform all full charge bookkeeping functions for a Joint Venture

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Experience with Jonas (accounting software)

  • AIA Billing experience

  • Joint Venture experience
