Actalent Civil Project Engineer in Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Title: Civil Project EngineerJob Description

This individual will work on the Site Engineering team, and will independently engineer and design site development projects for clients. This person will work in conjunction with Professional Engineers and CAD Designers to complete the full project scope. This team manages a varied portfolio of projects that will allow this person to work on diverse jobs, and they are looking to continuously expand the team into new territories. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to gain experience while playing an integral role in a growing team. Employees are also eligible for ESOP programs after 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site feasibility studies

  • Perform site and environmental analysis

  • Create schematic designs

  • Coordinate engineering systems

  • Analyze site costs

  • Develop site design

  • Prepare site construction documents

  • Research specifications and materials

  • Check and coordinate documents

  • Participate in bidding and contract negotiation

  • Handle construction phase office work

  • Conduct site observations during construction phase

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

  • Civil Engineering Intern - Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam

  • 3+ years of Experience in Site Design and Land Development

  • Ability to work independently on design projects

  • Experience in Civil 3D and Civil Design

Work Environment

The Civil Team consists of 7 members. The work hours are Monday to Thursday for 9 hours and Friday for 4 hours, totaling 40 hours per week, with occasional additional hours (40-45 hours). Flexible start times between 7-9 AM and end times between 4-6 PM. Ability to work from home when needed, although this is not a remote or hybrid position. The office is new and located in a very nice office park with walking trails, a gym, and other outdoor activities. Candidates can expect an excellent culture, a team environment with lots of team-building activities, and an Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP). Compensation may be negotiable for additional years of experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
