The Business Office Coordinator will be responsible bridging the gap of communication between healthcare staff/providers and LEP patients (Limited English Proficiency) with outstanding customer service in a manner consistent with CHN’s PRIIDE values. Seamlessly assist providers with resources that allow them to communicate properly with their patients. Interpreters are provided via video, phone, and in-person. It is the scheduler’s duty to determine which modality will be appropriate in the given circumstance and schedule the interpreter accordingly considering certain exceptions expressed by requestor. Scheduler is also responsible for monitoring the in-house interpreter’s time and schedule, analyzing, and sorting out invoices, running productivity reports, and working with team manager on any other tasks that may present. Interpreter requests come in through phone and email, scheduler must be able to respond and act quickly.

Your exceptional skills and qualifications

• No license required.

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Minimum of two years of experience in scheduling and administrative support in a healthcare environment.

• Office experience is preferred. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and responsiveness.

• Ability to organize and express thoughts clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing via phone and email.

• Schedule all interpreters (in-person, phone & video). Most video and phone interactions are on-demand, meaning no scheduling necessary.

• Coordinate between providers and staff interpreters / contracted interpreters via vendors

• Answer all incoming calls professionally and email swiftly

• Monitor team’s productivity

• Understand interpreters’ needs and assist staff interpreters via texts, emails or telephone calls with questions/concerns related to their assigned appointments

• Regularly obtain reports and data for the team as well as any other data requested by leadership

• Review and sort invoices

• Partner with leadership and reports/consults issues that need attention beyond this role, and perform other tasks as requested by leadership
