Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Audit Clerk to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be working in the accounts payable department of our company, handling various tasks related to account reconciliation, data entry, and use of Microsoft Excel. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately processing and reconciling accounts payable transactions

• Maintaining precise and updated records of all accounts payable data

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel to input and analyze accounts payable data

• Performing data entry tasks related to accounts payable

• Responding to client inquiries regarding accounts payable

• Monitoring accounts to ensure payments are up to date and accurate

• Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements

• Assisting with month-end closing procedures

• Conducting periodic audits to ensure compliance with established internal controls and procedures

• Maintaining confidentiality of organizational information. Requirements • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar accounting position

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate record-keeping

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures

• Strong data entry skills with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency

• Excellent numerical skills with an attention to detail

• Proficiency in using accounting software and related technologies

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
