CareSalus Primary Care Medical Assistant in Indiana, Pennsylvania
Part time medical assistant positions available in an internal medicine office. Ideal candidates will be capable of performing both front office tasks and back-office tasks. Specific front office skills include insurance eligibility checking, fee and copay collection, ICD lookup, patient in-take, scheduling, telephone follow-up for visits and lab results, chart construction, maintenance and filing, word processing and inventory maintenance. Specific back-office skills include basic history taking (ht/wt/bp, chief complaint), venipuncture (phlebotomy), injections, EKGs, performing various lab panels using automated equipment, prepping rooms for procedures and prepping patients for exams.
Experience using an EMR (electronic medical record) system and computerized PMS (practice management system) required. Must be available, reliable and independent.
MA preferred with minimum of one year clinical experience.
