Job Description

My client, a federally focused research and consulting firm, is looking for an Electrical Design Support Engineer to join their growing in-house design engineering team. Their primary project is currently a new, 5 year award for complete facility renovations in a complex, lab and industrial environment supporting the Navy in Indian Head, MD. Their day to day responsibilities will include developing design packages, preparing electrical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for projects such as HVAC replacements, electrical power service, emergency generators, lightning protection, grounding, and controls/telecommunication systems. This role is remote but requires occasional travel to Indian Head, MD (1-3 days/month). This opportunity is offering a competitive salary of $100,000 - $180,000 annually.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering

• 8+ years of experience in federal electrical design

• 5+ years experience designing electrical power systems for new or upgraded buildings

• AutoCAD and Solidworks experience

• Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance - Professional Engineer (PE) license

• Design experience in controlled spaces (humidity control, temperature control, etc.) null
