Naval Sea Systems Command MANAGER in Indian Head, Maryland
Summary You will serve as a Manager (Division Director) in the Industrial Support Division (M3) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-06 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15. Responsibilities You will provide leadership in support of development and manufacturing of projects. You will provide leadership and direction for technical, administrative, and/or professional staff of the division. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Division's Safety and Quality Programs. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement. You will meet division financial targets for indirect, direct and service cost center. You will be responsible for mentoring, training subordinates, and providing clear, concise, effective and timely communications up and down the chain of command. You will support a manufacturing organization. You will be required to report to the duty location advertised in the announcement on a regular and reoccurring basis. Occasional telework options may be available. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-05 (GS-13/14) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating mission requirements and business management concepts to develop strategic plans or allocate resources for ensuring mission objectives are met.
