Responsibilities You will perform a variety of administrative assignments related to the management of the Department. You will oversee administrative functions for the office. You will ensure that all pertinent policies, procedures and guidelines are followed in the areas of administrative support. You will coordinate the processes and policies of the Division Administrative Assistants in the Department to ensure proper staffing. You will assist the Department Head and Deputy in responding to data calls. You will maintain oversight and track action items and reports. You will prepare professional presentation packages consisting of a variety of complex charts, graphs, and narrative documents. You will serve as the Official Records Management POC for the Department. You will answer routine questions about the EOD Department mission based on knowledge of subordinate organization activities. You will support the Department Head and other management personnel in the role of confidential agent when meetings/discussions/correspondence relate to confidential subject matter including organizational or personnel issues. You will coordinate staffing of documents and letters through the Department office and Chain of Command, and edits, records, and ensures proper formatting prior to document staffing. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NG-02 (GS-5/6) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing administrative support in an office setting to include using office automation and software systems for preparing documents and correspondence and identifying and resolving administrative matters. . Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information You will serve as a Department Administrative Assistant in the Deputy and Staff division of the EOD department of Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head This announcement uses the STRL for Direct Support direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.
