Robert Half DevOps Engineering Team Lead in Independence, Ohio

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the tech sector, specifically located in Independence, Ohio, United States. The role we are looking to fill is that of a DevOps Engineering Team Lead. This position involves overseeing and optimizing DevOps practices, collaborating with various teams, and leading the continuous integration and deployment of applications and services across cloud platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and optimize DevOps practices across AWS and Azure platforms, ensuring system scalability, reliability, and security.

• Collaborate with various teams to develop and execute a comprehensive DevOps strategy that aligns with our business objectives.

• Keep updated with industry developments and integrate emerging technologies to ensure our DevOps operations are at the forefront.

• Oversee the continuous integration and deployment of applications and services across cloud platforms.

• Develop and maintain automation processes to enhance operational efficiency.

• Implement stringent security protocols and compliance standards within the DevOps environment.

• Perform regular audits and risk assessments to identify and address potential security threats.

• Monitor resource utilization in DevOps environments to optimize costs.

• Formulate and execute strategies for managing and reducing DevOps-related expenses.

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a collaborative and innovative culture within the DevOps team.

• Provide advanced technical support for complex issues and collaborate with other IT teams for cross-functional problem resolution. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps Engineering role or similar capacity.

• Proven experience as a team lead or in a supervisory role with a focus on DevOps.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.

• Demonstrated ability in Scripting languages.

• Experience with GitLab CI is essential.

• Proficiency in using Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration is required.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical concepts.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to meet project deadlines.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Relevant industry certifications would be an advantage.
