Growing manufacturer in the Independence, OH area is seeking an Automation Engineer to add to their growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience programming large SCADA/HMI systems and PLC programming experience. A background in renewable energy/ battery energy storage systems required. A Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and PE license preferred, seeking at least 7 years in automation designing renewable energy/EPC projects. Some travel required, about 20%.

responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of a power management system for energy storage, including determining control software and system hardware requirements for products

• Standardize suite for grid-scale market by designing execution sequences and application parameters

• Develop SCADA/HMI System for energy storage systems

Requirements:

• BSEE or MSEE preferred

• At least 5-7 years of experience in automation design regarding utility-scale renewable energies EPC projects

• Experience programming networked PLC Systems and large SCADA/HMI systems

• Wonderware programming a plus

• Experience with Grid Scale Energy Storage and Industrial networks and Protocols including MODBUS, TCP and ENET IP

• Experience with Battery systems applications

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics

• Willingness to travel about 20% nationally and internationally
