Description:

• Seeking a Project Engineer to lead and support plant and process improvement projects within the packaging department. • Responsible for supporting process improvement activities across the plant that will bring cost savings, improve overall plant efficiency and output, and reduce waste. • Responsible for identifying and executing various projects; discover and determine opportunity for optimization. • Responsible for leading Capital Projects within the packaging department - Management of improvement projects in a fast-moving environment with many stakeholders requires the ability for independent decision making, constructive collaboration, managing expectations, and navigating tradeoffs for our customers (the factory). • On Time in Full (OTIF) end-to-end delivery of multiple capital projects (typical value $0.1m - 2 Million per project) adhering to company project management standards and ensuring safety as our number one priority. • Participates in cross-plant improvement teams. Develop strong partnership with plant manufacturing, continuous improvement, corporate engineering and union workforce. • The position is responsible for cost estimating, analyzing options, building business cases, critiquing designs, managing construction, installation, commissioning, and handover with minimal supervision. • Seeking someone with a continuous improvement mindset and strong mechanical aptitude with experience working within a lean manufacturing environment
