The Senior Senior Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for onboarding, qualifying and developing new suppliers for the Tsukuba-Japan facility by driving the high standards in quality and delivery. This position plays a key role in ensuring that our suppliers meet Pall Filtration’s quality standards. You will work closely with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and internal stakeholders to drive quality improvements and resolve issues.

This position is part of the Supplier Quality Organization and will be located in Tsukuba, Japan. This is a Onsite role and you will be reporting to Global QA/Site Lead

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Interface closely with PALL Strategic Sourcing, Engineering, Site Quality and Applications teams to establish supplier quality requirements and drive the Tsukuba facility leadership in PPAPs, Suppliers qualifications and the onboarding process.

  • Continuously monitor key performance indicators (NCs, CAPA, SIP, SCAR) for existing subcontractors/suppliers as input for the Supplier Monitoring Program and Supplier Business Review

  • Deploy the global Supplier quality strategies in the region and drive the standardization of systems, tools, processes, and supplier management.

  • Perform Supply Chain Incident/Error Investigation and Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective/Preventative Action activities to improve both OTD and Delivered parts PPM in line with agreed KPI’s

  • Develop Supplier Quality Audit Plan/Inspection Planning, and lead Source Inspection and Corrective Action Verification activities. Support Asia facilities driving the remediation and qualification approval process.

    The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive Quality or Supplier Quality Assurance experience, including good to have >ISO9001 and/or Microelectronics market

  • Proven experience in conducting supplier audits based on the ISO9001 requirements with in depth knowledge of PPAP, FAI processes, NC and MRB tools.

  • Strong understanding of Manufacturing Quality Systems, Contractual Requirements, Inspection and Test, and Root Cause and Corrective Action disciplines.

  • Strong competency with Microsoft Office Suite, Material Management (SAP Preferred), and Quality Management System (PPAP, FAI)

  • English/Japanese is mandatory due to global supplier footprint.

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Commodity knowledge on/either metal/plastic/resins/chemical

  • Chinese language
