Battelle Energy Alliance dba Idaho National Laboratory SRT Lieutenant in Idaho Falls, Idaho

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Protective Force SRT Lieutenant to work in our Pro Force Security Operations and SRT Department. Our team works a 4 x 12 schedule located out of our Central Facilities. You will report to the department Senior Manager.

You will lead a group of Security Police Officers to manage the protection of Laboratory personnel and government-owned assets.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for daily operations and activities to ensure security requirements and workforce are being used in protection strategies.
  • Respond to all security emergencies; develop resolution plans and contingencies.
  • Monitor the performance of personnel assigned to the crew. Identify training needs that increase job knowledge and skill.
  • Attend plan of the day meetings with Operations and Contractors ensuring that work being completed within site facilities does not affect Security Posture.
  • When needed, direct an effective, and timely resolution of adversary actions as established in the Graded Security policy for DOE programs and facilities.
  • Responsible for command, control, and reporting of all security emergency situations and notifications at INL for events specified in DOE orders.

*Minimum Requirements: *

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant experience in security, law enforcement, or military, OR an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree and 2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

You will be expected to obtain and maintain the following:

  • Human Reliability Program (HRP) Certification
  • 10 CFR 1046 physical fitness standards
  • 10 CFR 1046 SPO III standards
  • NTC TRF 200 Certification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • INL SPO III Qualification
  • Protective Force Supervisor experience
  • Equivalent Upgrade Program experience

*Job Information: *

  • The target pay range for this position is $81,772 - $124,893 annually. The full pay range is $76,980 - $177,036. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
  • You are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
  • TDP - Testing Designated Position: You will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
