PMO Leader
As the PMO Leader for the Curtiss Wright Plant Information, Monitoring and Controls (PIMC) business unit you will create, organize, implement, and manage the strategies and business programs of our project management team.
You will lead the strategic planning and provide direction and oversight to project management efforts. This will include defining the project management methodologies that are used to manage those projects, and managing and allocating of resources across projects according to priorities, schedules and budgets. This is all done while staying informed of best practices and implementing them when possible.
You will work with and oversee team members as they assess risk, and manage change through the course of the project life cycle. This will involve knowing, acquiring, and utilizing company resources to achieve project objectives. This roll directs a project team within a matrix organization, which involves close monitoring and interfacing with functional support organizations to complete milestones within specific budgets and schedules. You will interface with external customers as well as top management for the purpose of understanding new projects, communicating status of projects, and assisting with contract development when needed.

Your Challenge:
Oversee the PMO.
Lead and/or participate on Cross-Functional Teams to ensure all project commitments are satisfied, and advise others within the PMO as they do the same.
Defining, acquiring, and allocating budget, staff, and other resources necessary to accomplish goals and/or objectives.
Responsible for complex program management tasks and development of standards and processes for scheduling, administration, and direct involvement with cost accounting.
Perform project set-up activities, maintain project information, assist with readiness reviews, and create and update recovery plan schedules and cost estimates for assigned production, design, and forecasting projects.
Works with team in support of customer presentations and meetings, collecting action items and ensuring efficient Project Team meetings.
Supports and assists with the quoting and creation of the Project Work Plan (PWP) as required, through the creation and maintenance of project schedules, cost profiles, and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) as requested.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in in a related discipline
10+ years of related experience, with experience in leading other PMs.
PMP certification is preferred.
Understanding of business principles related to manufacturing and safety related project management.
Ability to analyze schedules and budgets and address risks and opportunities to achieving customer commitments is key.
Ability to lead a group towards a successful resolution or concurrence to solve a problem.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience with MS Office programs.
Experience with scheduling software, including MS Project and/or Primavera is desired.
Ability to work as part of a team and with multiple functional areas is essential.
Key Competencies: Action Oriented, Dealing with Ambiguity, Problem Solving, Peer Relationships, Planning.
Experience with Syteline is desired, but not required.
