Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Lead Facility Engineer to work in our Lead Facility Engineering department. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our MFC facility with every Friday off.
The Lead Facility Engineer is responsible for a broad spectrum of engineering activities related to their assigned facilities. You will report to the Manager of Lead Facility Engineering Department.
Responsibilities Include:
The Lead Facility Engineer applies knowledge, practices, technique and experience in a leadership role working with engineering, facility management, operations, maintenance, and programmatic personnel for the following:
Manage facility system configurations
Specification of system equipment maintenance
Monitor equipment and systems performance
Develop engineering strategy for the facility
Identify and prioritize issues for the Facility Health Committee (FHC)
Failure analysis
Modification Design
Operations Support
Engineering Leadership

*Minimum Requirements: *
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 9 -14 yrs experience, or a Master’s Degree in an engineering discipline and 6-8 yrs experience, or a Doctorate in an engineering discipline and 4-6 yrs experience
Must be USQ qualified or able to obtain qualification
Will obtain INL Technical Staff Qualification (Cognizant System Engineer)
Must be able to obtain MFC Lead Facility Engineer Qualification
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
The ideal candidate with have the following:
Professional Engineering license is desirable
Knowledge of configuration management processes
Experience working in the DOE complex and/or Nuclear Facilities
*Job Information: *
o The pay range for this position is: Level 4 ($111,888 - $229,284)/Level 5 ($134,124 - $275,136). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
o TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
o Multi-Level: This is a multi-level posting and you will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven experience and skills.
