Continental Software Development Engineer for Autonomous Mobility (Iasi) in Iași, Romania

Well, we don’t anymore because we have a solution - Advance Driving Control Unit: advanced performance computing, high speed communication interfaces and overall cutting-edge technologies are all parts of our Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and challenges for you! The final goal of this kind of ECUs is to help protect the lives of passengers and pedestrians and contribute in bringing automated driving (self-driving) cars closer to present.

* Responsibilities:*

  • Clarify the requirements for Software modules;

  • Develop in-house Software solutions using C#, TestStand & SQL;

  • Design & develop new or existing products & tools for the operation and testing of products;

  • Code reviewing & Debugging;

  • General Software validation & verification testing;

  • Collaborate to create the HW/SW interface specifications;

  • Collaborate with the Project Team.

    * By working together, you will gain and increase your knowledge in the following areas:*

  • Development of automotive Software;

  • Understanding the entire process;

  • Development and Testing philosophy;

A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes, and organization.

You can be a perfect match if you have:

  • University Degree in areas such as Computer Science, Informatics and/or knowledge and previous experience of Software Development;

Knowledge of:

  • Good Knowledge of Software Development;

  • Experience in C# Programming language;

  • SQL Server & TestStand know-how is desirable;

  • Agile Scrum methodologies;

  • Capable of understanding complex processes and adapt to functional changes;

  • Knowledge of GIT;

  • Interface between hardware and software;

  • Function block definition;

  • At least medium English level, for reading and creating technical documentation and to interact with colleagues from worldwide locations;

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the Software Development area.
