TTEC Telecommunications Engineer in Hyderabad, India

Telecommunications Engineer:

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Management:

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and application software.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.

  • Knowledge in Network Administration:

  • LAN, WAN, and VPN connections.

  • Perform network diagnostics and optimize connectivity and throughput.

  • Security:

  • Implement and maintain security policies, firewalls, and antivirus measures.

  • Conduct regular security assessments and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

  • User Support:

  • Provide technical support to users for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies.

  • Backup and Recovery:

  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.

  • Conduct regular testing to ensure data integrity and availability.

  • Automation and Optimization:

  • Develop scripts and tools to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.

  • Research and recommend new technologies to enhance system capabilities.

  • Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

  • Prepare technical reports and user guides as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.

  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.

  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).

  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Server , Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Cisco CCNA.

  • Experience with ITIL processes and service management tools.

  • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
