What you will do:
As a member of our Data Analytics Production team, you will be involved in the development of in-database analytics functions, BYOM (Bring Your Own Model) predictive functions, and the vector store, which includes semantic search and large language models (LLMs). You will leverage cutting-edge AI technologies to create innovative solutions and develop scalable models that integrate seamlessly into Teradata’s analytics platform. This position will play a key role in shaping the future of AI-driven applications, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), recommendation systems, and multimodal solutions across diverse enterprise use cases.

Collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the company who value diversity, equity, and inclusion, working cohesively to deliver high-quality, critical, and highly visible Generative AI and machine learning functionalities within the Teradata Vantage platform.
You will report directly to the Manager of the analytics team.
What makes you a qualified candidate:
Experience in building and operating distributed machine learning algorithms.
Proficiency in C/C++, Java, or Python, preferably on Unix or Linux platforms.
Strong foundational knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
Excellent debugging skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
Familiarity with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to produce runbooks and both technical and non-technical documentation.
What you will bring:
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, with a focus on algorithms.
Familiarity with AI and large language models (LLMs) is a significant plus.
Experience in writing unit and system-level tests.
Background in information retrieval or text summarization, with expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and large language models (LLMs).
