If this excites you, then come join the Azure Specialized team in India. We are responsible for building and offering specialized hardware and bare-metal solutions in Azure. This involves large scale specialized solutions like Azure Large Instances, Azure VMWare Services, super computers like Cray and more.

We are looking for a customer-focused, highly passionate, strong software engineer with enterprise and infrastructure as service (IaaS) experience to help drive the future of our platform. Your ability to be the customer advocate, focus on service first, and part of a team that tears down silos to deliver the best customer experience will be critical to your success, along with the teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal business units and stakeholders and understand the requirements for delivering efficiently.

  • Handle project features from design to implementation.

  • Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.

  • Contributes to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items to bring clarity and provides estimation.

  • Independently create a clear and articulated plan for testing and assuring quality of solutions.

  • Make software services secure, reliable, highly available and fault resilient.

  • Automate repetitive tasks to reduce implementation time and avoid failure due to human error.

  • Participate in periodic on-call rotation for service’s incident support, quickly mitigate impact and restore service availability through a software enabled toolset. When issues arise, you troubleshoot live site issues to discover and drive solutions with minimal or no disruption to customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.

  • Experience of building distributed systems and/or cloud platform services a plus.

  • Publications and/or certifications related to cloud technologies a plus.

  • 4+ years of professional experience designing, developing, and shipping software.

  • Proven ability for tracking complex technical issues for running online services.
