Primary Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor microservices/API systems, as well as backend streaming and batch components. This includes, but not limited to, scheduled data refreshes
Promptly resolve any issues that occur within the application
Address serviceNow incidents/tasks to resolve issues reported by consumers or downstream applications. This includes collaborating with development teams to identify, rectify, and document issues
Conduct regular infrastructure maintenance activities
Collaborate with team members to enhance application performance through automation
Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with Spark, Hadoop/BigData technologies, and AWS cloud services including EC2, EMR, RDS, and Step Functions
Experience in network, server, and application-status monitoring
Knowledge of data streaming technologies like Kafka
Understanding of software development and support methodologies
Proficiency with Git and GitHub
Proven solid command of software automation production systems, such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
Proven solid problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS certification
Familiarity with GraphQL
